Gary D. Robson

Gary Robson grew up in Colorado and attended college in California before landing a job in the field of electrical and software engineering, specializing in closed captioning technologies for people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. He holds a couple of patents, has several awards, has presented a TED Talk, and has written three books on the subject.

He is the author of the popular Who Pooped in the Park series of books for kids, an exploration of scats and tracks that one is likely to encounter in various parks around the country from Arcadia National Park in Maine to the Redwoods National and State Parks in California. The Yellowstone National Park edition of Who Pooped in the Park? appeared in print in 2004 and started the whole adventure. The eighteenth book from the series, Who Pooped in the Cascades?, is a 2014 winner of a Moonbeam Award and a finalist for the 2014 High Plains Book Award in the Children's book category. Who Pooped in Central Park? is most recent edition in the series.

Gary also has published books on tea and a guide to holding successful book signings. A Red Lodge (Montana) resident, Gary has written about the 1943 disaster in the nearby Smith Mine and a "very best" compilation of articles that have appeared in the local newspaper, which he has owned since 2007.
