Shann Ray

Poet and prose writer Shann Ray lives in Washington  State and teaches leadership and forgiveness studies at Gonzaga University.  His work has appeared in McSweeney's, Narrative Magazine, and Story Quarterly.

Shann's debut novel, American Copper, published by Unbridled Books and renowned editor Greg Michalson, formerly of the Missouri Review, is a love song to America revealing the radiant and profound life of Evelynne Lowry, a woman who transcends the national myth of regeneration through violence. His book of short stories, American Masculine with the winner of the 2010 Bakeless Prize for Fiction.
