Poetry Open Mic Evening

Whether you are new to poetry or are a 21st-century Emily Dickinson, you won't want to miss Open Poetry Mic at This House of Books.

On the first Tuesday of each month, come listen to and support your fellow poets. You don't have to read every time (or ever, if you don't want to!), but it is a fun evening with all sorts of different verse, from received forms to the freest of free. Sign-ups start around 5 o'clock, with readings kicking off at 5:30. Preference is given to first-time readers, and if you are late, don't worry!
