New Book Release: Lowell Jaeger

Lowell Jaeger, Montana's current Poet Laureate, will introduce his latest poetry book, Earth-blood & Star-shine to the world at This House of Books on Friday evening, March 23 starting at 5:30.

Many may remember Lowell when his book, Poems Across the Big Sky II, took top honors at the High Plains Bookfest last October. He is the author of six additional collections of poems and his work has been published over 300 times in a variety of national journals.

Lowell, a nationally recognized poet and 30-year veteran of teaching at Flathead Valley Community College, has delighted diverse audiences with readings, lectures, discussions, radio shows, and poetry workshops. He has given generously of his time by serving on an array of arts and humanities initiatives around the state and working on behalf of community organizations in and around Bigfork, Montana, the place he calls home.

This is a special treat and a distinct honor for This House of Books. Come listen as one of Montana's most acclaimed poets reads from, discusses, and signs his latest work. Expect humor, thoughtfulness, critical thinking, respect for diversity, inquisitiveness, and speaking one's own truth.
