Children's Book Reading: Lynda Moss with China Berry
On Saturday, September 30 at 1:00 pm at This House of Books Lynda Moss and China Berry, a Bernese Mountain Dog will read from An Open Heart, a story about Moritz and his acts of kindness.
An Open Heart is written by Barry J. Schieber and illustrated by Hedvig Rappe-Flowers. The book is based on stories about Barry’s loyal companion Moritz, a Bernese Mountain dog who won the hearts of children and adults in Montana. Hedvig Rappe-Flowers illustrated An Open Heart and she lives in Bozeman.
Lynda Moss, a former state Senator representing Billings, and China Berry, who was trained as a puppy at Prison Paws for Humanity at the Montana Women’s Prison recently passed the therapy animal program offered by the Intermountain Therapy Animals program in Bozeman. As a therapy team, Lynda and China will be visiting healthcare facilities, libraries, and schools in Montana.
After the reading, Lynda and China will have free copies of books by Barry J. Schieber available for kids and their families attending the program.
