Vicki Tapia

After teaching somewhere around 10,000 mother/baby pairs the art of breastfeeding, Montana native Vicki Tapia found her energies redirected to the other end of life, as both her parents were diagnosed with dementia. A diary written to help her cope with caregiving morphed into Somebody Stole My Iron: A Family Memoir of Dementia.

A blogger for the Huffington Post, Vicki was a finalist for Best Woman Writer in The 2015 High Plains Book Awards, and has recently finished a semi-biographical account of her great-grandmother's tumultuous life from Michigan to Montana around the turn of the 20th century. The title is Maggie: A Journey of Love, Loss & Survival.

Vicki is an author member-owner since April 2016.

We have an episode of "With a Cup of Tea" that features an interview with Vicki by guest interviewer, Louisa Frank.
