Welcome to This House of Books inaugural book club! Each month in 2018 we’ll be featuring a member-owner’s new or recently published book – mostly fiction, with perhaps a few surprises. If there’s no member-owner new release, we’ll look for a great regional author to feature that month.
The list below is just the handful of 2018 new releases we’ve been able to confirm. Each month there will be an author event or a book club meeting led by either the author themselves or This House of Books staff or members. When possible, the discussion will be author guided, either in person, via Skype, or with author-provided discussion points. Timing and selections may depend on shifting publication dates, author availability, and other considerations beyond the bookstore’s control, but every month we’ll bring you a book we love, with strong local ties. If you don’t see your favorite local author on the list, please mention their name to us! The focus will be on fiction, but we may also include book club-appropriate nonfiction or poetry.
Here’s how it works: Copies of the month’s selection will be available in-store for purchase. Read the book, making notes for yourself in the margins or wherever you prefer to notate your reading. Come to the store and enjoy and take part in the discussion on the scheduled evening. That’s it! Local bookvana unlocked!

In the month before the meeting for a particular book (see the list above), we will have some of the Book Club books in stock, but the best way to guarantee that you will be able to get the book in time is to order it. You can place your order in any of three ways:
