Giano Cromley

Giano Cromley is a native son of Billings, Montana. After attending Dartmouth College and majoring in literature and creative writing, he moved to Washington, DC, to work as a speech-writer and deputy press secretary for U.S. Senator Max Baucus.

After four years, he left DC to pursue his MFA, studying fiction at the University of Montana. Three years later, he moved to Chicago, where he managed to find part-time work teaching GED and ESL classes on the city's South and West Sides. He lives on the South Side of Chicago with his wife and two dogs.

His writing has appeared in many magazines and journals. His 2014 novel, The Last Good Halloween, was named a finalist in the High Plains Book Award first novel category. Giano's collection of short stories, released in November 2017, is What We Build Upon the Ruins.
