Author Event: Lisa Densmore Ballard

Red Lodge, Montana author Lisa Densmore Ballard will be on hand to read from and sign copies of the long-awaited second edition of her popular book, Ski Faster! on Friday, November 10 starting at 5:30 pm.

Ski Faster! contains A to Z on alpine ski racing. It’s for anyone wishing to carve better turns, ski like a pro through gates, or simply gain a better understanding of the sport.

In addition to over 25 years of coaching experience, Ballard has competed on a variety of ski racing stages over her lifetime, from World Cup to NCAA Division 1 college racing, and now on the masters' circuit where she has garnered almost 100 national titles and 4 world masters championships. Ski Faster! reveals her secrets to success on the slopes.

“A lot of the sport has changed in the last 17 years,” says Ballard, “About 90% of the book is new. It’s a labor of love. Helping others get involved in ski racing and then learning to improve is my passion.”
