Brian Petersen

All the years that Brian Petersen spent working for newspapers across North Dakota, Montana, and several other states, he knew there was a different kind of story he needed to write. As a result, he has given us Vanish, a rough-and-tumble story of romance, danger, and violence set in the Badlands of contemporary North Dakota, set against the backdrop of the roaring Bakken Field Oil Boom.

Brian makes his home in Livingston, Montana but as someone who grew up in New Town, North Dakota, he is no stranger to the overlap of cultures and the effects on the communities that were inundated by the Garrison Dam and the resulting flooding of the area to form of Lake Sakakawea.
